TESTIMONIALS
We were so grateful Karen attended our birth! Initially my labor progressed very quickly, but I had some unexpected complications which caused the labor to last much longer than me or my husband expected (22 hrs). Karen was right there by our side supporting us through the entire process, and she brought a very safe and calming energy into the space. She helped us feel at peace and at ease despite the intensity of the situation, and when faced with certain medical decisions, Karen’s wisdom and insight empowered us to make the decisions we felt were best for our family. She stayed by our side through it all, and even took pictures for us to capture the moment when we (finally!) met our son for the first time. ~ C. Elmer
My husband and I both raved afterward about how glad that we’d decided to hire a doula, and how grateful we were that our doula was Karen! Her post-partum support her quick answers to my newbie mom questions were invaluable, too. ~ Anonymous
Thank you Karen for all your care, your compassion, and your support — helping us moms bring new life into the world is truly your gift! ~ Anonymous
Karen is fantastic! She was my doula for six of my seven births. She remains calm and supportive during the labor and delivery. I was very quiet during labor, not wanting or able to verbally express my needs, but, she was very keen in her observation. She noticed my little cues and gently suggested one or two options that we could do at that point to help. Karen always came prepared with essential oils, birthing ball, anything that might be helpful.
Karen was missed at the birth of our fifth child and that birth was a very different experience - ended up being a section. If you are on the fence about hiring a doula, it is completely worth it. Karen is compassionate, patient, calming, helpful - the best! She even offered encouragement to my hubby during labor and delivery on what he could do to help and be an active participant. Love Karen!

As an alternative family, and myself being the non-gestational mom, it was really important to us that we not only find a warm, caring instructor for our Bradley classes, but also one that was open and accepting of placing me in the traditional dad role without being weird about it. Karen was wonderful.
We got intensive personal attention, in a loving, non-judgemental environment, and we were completely prepared for a Bradley birth. All of our questions were addressed, and she's one of the best kind of teachers who isn't afraid to say she doesn't know but will find out.
There is literally not a single thing I would change about our instruction or our experience - and I tend to be the nitpicky and perfectionist one in every group. A+++, 5 stars, 11/10. ~ M. Heathcock
Having Karen as my doula was one of the most rewarding experiences ever. She was there for anything and everything during my pregnancy and when it was go time she made my labor experience exactly what I wanted. I would use Karen again in a heartbeat. I loved developing such a close relationship with her and consider her family. Love you lady! ~ K. Pechon
