EXPERIENCE
I have six different birth stories for my six children. I have had an epidural for one, no pharmaceutical pain relief for the others. Some spontaneous labors, some induced. They all breastfed for various lengths of time. Some had some supplementation.
My sixth child, Audrey, born at home in the water with a CPM in attendance. She had a birth diagnosis of Down Syndrome. We transferred to 10 days of hospital care after 10 glorious hours of getting to know each other at home. We successfully initiated breastfeeding at 21 days old. She breastfed for 20 months.
In 2013 I was introduced to therapeutic grade essential oils. A new world of support skills opened up.
Additional trainings are mentioned on the services page.
I have witnessed a wide range of birth experiences including VBAC, twin birth, vaginal breech birth, planned cesarean, water birth, high risk induction, and have even caught a baby in the back seat of a car after a precipitous birth on the way to the birth center. I was grateful for my NRP training that day!
